A Powerful Reminder of Freedom

Today we had the honor of gathering in an intimate setting to hear two incredibly brave women share their powerful and heartbreaking stories of fleeing communist Cuba: Alina Fernandez, daughter of Fidel Castro, and Maria Rodriguez, who is running for Congress in Kentucky’s 3rd District.

Hearing their stories firsthand was both humbling and deeply moving. Their experiences serve as a reminder of the freedoms we are fortunate to enjoy every day, freedoms that can easily be taken for granted when we never had to fight to preserve them.
