Remembering Bobbie Holsclaw

One year ago, today We lost Bobbie Holsclaw, over beloved mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, and wife.

Jefferson County lost a remarkable public servant, a leader who gave over two decades of her life serving the citizens of Jefferson County. Her legacy of integrity, compassion and commitment to her community lives on as does the love she gave to her family and friends.

As Jefferson County Clerk, she was a familiar and trusted presence to generations of residents, and her years of service left a lasting mark on our community.

Bobbie understood that public service was about more than a title or position—it was about people. She treated others with kindness, worked tirelessly on behalf of those she served, and took great pride in Jefferson County.

One year after her passing, we remember not only her many accomplishments, but also the warmth, strength, and dedication that made her so special to so many.

Her legacy of service continues to live on in the people she touched and in the community she loved.

A year without her voice, her smile, her hugs, and all the little things that made her so special has left a space in our hearts that can never be filled. But while we miss her every day, we are also grateful for the beautiful memories she gave us and the love she shared so freely.

Mom was more than just our mother. She was our comfort, our strength, our safe place, and the Rock of the foundation of our family. Her love continues to live on in each of us—in the lessons she taught us, the memories we cherish, and the love we carry forward.

One year later, we still talk about her each day, laugh about the memories, and shed tears because we wish she were here to share it all with us. Her absence is felt deeply, but so is her presence in our hearts.

Mom, you know how deeply you are loved and how very much you are missed. We will carry you with us always. We will do our very best to carry on the values, traditions and love for family.
