The Kind of Day That Makes You Love Kentucky

We had another wonderful day on the campaign trail in LaRue County, starting with a meet and greet for Andy Barr at the Lincoln Museum in Hodgenville.

Afterward, we were treated to some seriously good burgers at Laha’s Red Castle, a Hodgenville institution with more than 90 years of history, followed by drinks and great conversation with friendly folks at Top Hat Tavern.

We couldn’t leave town without a visit to the Lincoln Museum and wandered into the sweets shop in the town center before heading home.

The best part of the day wasn’t just the food or the history—it was the people. Everyone we met in Hodgenville welcomed us with genuine Kentucky hospitality. Days like this are exactly why traveling across the Commonwealth is so rewarding.
